WELCOME TO THE PRAYERS FOR THE HEIRS
Share
Hello, friends! I am so glad you wandered into my little corner of the internet. Here you can find an off the beaten path that looks narrow and winding but eventually opens to the most breathtaking view of ocean and sky; perennial Ammophila, soft sand, and the sound of ocean waves gently caressing the shore, lull you to tranquility. Now you see how I became a writer!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Leslie LaRay and I am a proud, honorably retired Air Force service member. After serving my country— learning the art of military acronyms and savoring the world’s finest MREs (meals, ready to eat (a military acronym))—I now call Norfolk, Virginia, my home. When I’m not traveling to find bluer waters, you will find me writing. I’m a published author of two children’s books and two inspirational guides—don’t worry, I’ll spout all the details in future posts. Think of this as the “coming attractions” of our blog journey!
MY MISSION: EQUIP, EMPOWER, ENCOURAGE Why am I here? My mission is simple: to equip you with tools for life’s challenges, empower you to bloom where you are planted, and encourage you—because everyone needs a little nudge (or a gentle shove) now and then. Whether you are a fellow veteran, a personal growth seeker, or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, my hope is that you’ll leave each post feeling a bit lighter, brighter, and ready to face the day—maybe even with a smile.
A LITTLE HUMOR AND A LOT OF HEART Around this here sand dune, you’ll find honest stories, practical wisdom, and moments that might have you talking aloud to yourself. (I hear it’s okay if you don’t answer.) My approach is real, warm, and welcoming. Growth doesn’t have to be stuffy—it can be a bonfire on the beach, and you are always on the guest list.
WHAT’S NEXT?
In my next blog post, I’ll share the behind-the-scenes story of my very first writing experience (spoiler: it involves a real-life miracle ). As we walk together at the seaside, I will outline what you can look forward to—practical tips, personal encouragement, and maybe even a few Seagal’s (Get it? Seagulls…Seagals…My girlfriends may join me on this blog. Yes, this is the wah wah wah humor you must look forward to!).
So, grab a cold one from the cooler, pull up a beach chair, and let’s grow together. If you have questions or just want to say hello, drop a comment below.
Welcome to the journey! Fair Winds and Following Seas, Leslie LaRay
P.S. Did you catch all my beach metaphors? I love it here!
